Fim, WL8400, .002" x 140" x 1000'
WRIGHTLON® 8400
Description
Wrightlon® 8400 is a high temperature nylon vacuum bagging film with more than 30 years worldwide proven performance. It is called out on many aerospace specifications for use temperatures up to 232ºC (450ºF). It is recommended for cures with phenolic resins.
Benefits
- Heat resistance provides vacuum security during high temperature cures of expensive parts.
- Proven performance and approvals on specifications worldwide gained over more than 30 years.
- High Strength and chemical resistance reduces bag failures with aggressive phenolic resins.
Material type | Nylon | |
Elongation at break | 350% | ASTM D 882 |
Tensile Strength | 62 MPa (9000 psi) | ASTM D 882 |
Maximum use temperature | 232ºC (450ºF)
Flammability (self extinguishing) | Yes | ATP-5034 |
Materials to avoid | Strong Oxidizers
Color | Blue |
Storage
Recommended storage temperature is 5ºC to 40ºC (41ºF to 104ºF) at a no less than 25% relative humidity. Store indoors in original packaging, do not stack on end.
Usage
Optimal usage conditions are in a relative humidity range form 50% to 60% rh. Nylon based vacuum bag films are sensitive to humidity, remaining soft at higher %rh and at risk of become stiffer in low %rh.
