The Metcal SMTC-001 is an SMTC tip cartridge designed for reworking SMT components. The SMTC series is composed of slot, tunnel, and quad tip cartridges. The series also includes hoof tips for drag soldering, blade tips to remove residual solder from pads, and knife tips for multi-lead soldering of PLCCs in tight places. Note: SMTC soldering tip cartridges are for use with the MX-RM3E soldering/rework handpieces for STSS/MX systems only. They can not be used with SP systems, Talon® handpieces, or desolder handpieces.
